The Intermountain/Centralia Car Shops line of smoothside cars includes a number of models that were originally released by Des Plaines Hobbies as kits (basically "sides" designed to mount on American Limited passenger car cores). Subsequent to that, Intermountain distributed the same cars ready-to-run (IE, assembled). Subsequent to that, CCS released completely redesigned ready-to-run versions of the old DPH cars. Said new cars have finer detailing (both interior and exterior) as well as battery-powered interior lighting.
As of this 2014 writing, these DPH kit cars have yet to receive the CCS/IM treatment (IE, only available in kit form from DPH) -
