Wesley's Grocery Store was established (as near as I can tell) in 1936 by George and Ed Wesley. The Wesley family ran the store up until 1995, at which point it was sold to Dale Wilker who then converted it into an antique shop. It seems that virtually everyone who grew up in Hope has fond memories of stopping in at Wesley's for a big ol' double-dip ice cream cone. The Wesleys also performed butchering duties for the locals, as well as renting out refrigerated meat lockers.
