This is a joint venture between GHQ and deLuxe innovations. GHQ molds the bodies from Brittania Pewter while deLuxe paints, letters and assembles the finished cars. 53'6" was the "standard" length for flat cars in the transition era. Since so many loads were actually 50' long, the extra 3'6" allowed the load to be blocked and tied down. This car is cast in metal (outweighing most N scale box cars) -- as a result it offers superior tracking/performance even when not loaded (due to the low center of gravity). Comes with optional brakewheel. These are very limited run offerings, each car is numbered. (i.e. 25 of 250).
FWIW, I'm told that getting that brakewheel installed is an arduous task.
