This model dates to the early days of N scale (late 60's / early 70's) and was originally imported by AHM. Eastern Seaboard Models began importing them in 1991, repainting them in every available prototypical paintscheme from 1964 through 1990. ESMC's models ride on roller bearing trucks and have Rapido couplers. ESMC designates them as "ACF 3500pd Covered Hopper". These ESM cars are stamped "Atlas Austria" (even though Atlas didn't really have anything to do with them - other than perhaps serving as a connection between ESM and Roco).
These cars are commonly known as "Flexi-Flow" cars as the NYC / PC were the originators of the type.
